Cosmetic Surgery Thailand
Whilst it may not be one of the more well known destinations for health tourists, Thailand has been swiftly building up a reputation for itself as one of the centres of plastic surgery. Indeed, prices are very cheap with some packages offering surgery and recuperation in a tropical location for less than surgery alone would cost in the U.K. It is easy to get carried away with such offers but remember, if something looks too good to true then it probably is.
All the hospitals available on such packages are up to international standards but, as always, when travelling to such a country as Thailand for surgery, hygiene must be at the forefront of your mind. Only drink bottled water and check all necessary certifications of your individual medical institute before you agree to anything.

Thailand has an organisation called the Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons of Thailand. This is the official organisation of the country which monitors and regulates the cosmetic surgery industry in the country and it is their seal of approval which you should be looking to find from your particular surgeon. The group will only certify those surgeons who have completed the required training and also those who uphold the ethics and professional standards of the medical profession. If you are dealing with a company or an individual surgeon who does not have this accreditation from the SPRST, you should not continue any further with your enquires and find someone more reputable.
There are many different places in Thailand to go and indeed, as one of the websites states, your recovery may well be helped when you wake up and see some of the stunning views which will stretch out before you.
However, unless you are willing to pay for your family and friends to come and join you, you should remember that it may well be incredibly lonely to recover from major surgery in a country which is so far away from home. Also, your hospital will likely only be able to give you a bed for a few days after your surgery; you will have to pay for the rest of your stay yourself. However, this problem can be circumvented by getting a package deal where surgery and sun are both given to you together for a very cheap price.
