Acne
The term acne refers to a skin condition caused by changes in the skins pilosebaceous units. Acne can present itself as either inflammatory or non-inflammatory. Typically, acne is at its worst during adolescence, and is a common side effect of puberty. Acne affects over eighty five percent of adolescents throughout the world, and may even continue on into adulthood. Common areas where acne may be problematic are the face, neck, chest and back. Certain individuals may deal with worse cases of acne than others, experiencing large amounts of acne on the face and back; whereas other individuals may barely find acne to be a problem.
