Baggy Eyelids
Baggy eyelids occur as a result of many different factors. Age, lack of sleep and a poor diet or lifestyle may all contribute to the eventual sagging of eyelids. Age, being the most prominent cause of baggy eyelids can cause fat to expand, causing the lids to appear puffy or saggy. Certain surgeries such as a blepharoplasty may reduce the bagginess of an individual’s eyelids. This simple procedure removes any excess skin from the eyelids and tightens the remaining skin. This procedure also allows for the removal of any fat deposits in the lower eyelids to prolong a youthful appearance.
