Botox

Botox is a form of a toxin that blocks the contractions of muscles. Although this toxin can be dangerous, even deadly if injected into certain areas of the body; however, Botox injections on the face are usually desired because they prevent wrinkling. Many patients request Botox injections around the brow lines to reduce the appearance of frown lines, or crow’s feet. Botox may also be used to treat involuntary muscle spasms. By injecting Botox to the affected area, the spasms may be significantly reduced, or even prevented completely. After receiving injections, patients are usually not required to take any form of medicine, and are often allowed to return home.
