Brachioplasty
A brachioplasty, also known as an arm lift, is a cosmetic surgery that tightens and removes any loose, saggy skin on the underarm. Loose skin may develop on the underarm area for various reasons. Rapid weight loss and ageing may loosen the skin, causing it to sag. The surgery involves an incision made under the arm, and cutting any loose skin away from the area. Liposuction may also be used in order to remove any unwanted fat deposits in the arm before the extra skin is tightened or cut away. After surgery, doctors advise that patients refrain from performing any kind of strenuous activities.
