Breast Capsulectomy
The term breast capsulectomy refers to the removal of a breasts natural capsule that forms after a breast augmentation surgery. After the insertion of an implant, the breast tends to form a capsule around it in an attempt to protect the bodys tissue from this foreign object. Capsules may vary in thickness and may also contribute to the misshaping of a breast after surgery. The aim of this surgery is to re position the capsule in a way so that it does not affect the results of an implant surgery. Recovery time is roughly the same for this surgery as it is for the insertion of a regular implant.
