Dermal Fillers
Dermal fillers are substances used in various cosmetic procedures to improve or enhance an individuals appearance. Substances used as dermal fillers include collagen, fats and hyaluronic acids. There are a few risks involved with the use of dermal fillers; for example, unqualified or inexperienced individuals who inject dermal fillers may cause severe damage to the skin. Blood may pool beneath the skin or in serious cases, tissue loss or death may occur. Other unwanted outcomes may include the formation of granulomas or clumps, or the migration of fillers to different areas of the body. Before undergoing any type of procedure using dermal fillers, it is recommended that an individual consults with a qualified doctor.
