Ear Surgery
Ear surgery refers to a form of cosmetic procedure that can alter the appearance of ones ears. Many individuals suffer from a lack of self confidence due to oversized Dumbo ears, and consult a plastic surgeon in order to change this. The procedure that allows for the correction of protruding ears involves incisions on the inside of the rim of the ear and on the conchal cartilage. These incisions are used to ensure that any scarring remains invisible. After incisions are made, the ears can be pulled closer to the head, into a position more desirable for the patient.
