Fat Grafting

Fat grafting is the process of removing fat from one part of the body and transferring it to another. A common example of fat grafting is the removal of fat from an area with larger amounts of fat, such as the buttocks or thighs, and transferring it to the lips. Other common areas for fat grafts are the cheeks and eyes. Usually, fat is removed by liposuction and is simply injected into the desired area. Depending on the amount of fat needed, any part of the body can be used to obtain fat, though the more common areas are the thighs, abdomen and buttocks.
