Fraxel Laser
A fraxel laser is a device used in the cosmetic field to reduce the signs of ageing, such as melasma (brown spots) and minimal or severe wrinkling. Many individuals undergo fraxel laser treatments due to the fact that the laser is able to penetrate the skins surface by up to 20%. The laser works by creating a micro thermal zone on the skin, in which the laser cooks and denatures the proteins on the skin. Once the proteins have been denatured, the skin releases specific enzymes which may result in the skin forming new collagen, thus reducing the appearance of wrinkles.
