Hyperhydrosis
Hyperhydrosis is a medical condition that is characterised by excessive perspiration or sweating. The condition may manifest itself only in specific parts of the body. The hands, feet, groin or armpits are common high perspiration areas, for example. There are many different factors that may exacerbate perspiration; for example, high stress levels or anxiety may cause the heart to beat faster, thus increasing the amount that an individual perspires. Other factors, such as foods, drinks or certain smells may trigger hyperhydrosis. Treatments for this condition include various medicines that are prescribed by a doctor or certain surgical procedures that aim to stop excessive sweating.
