Inverted Nipple Correction

Inverted nipple correction is a type of surgery that is performed to correct the appearance of nipples that may have become inverted due to trauma or breast feeding. In order to correct the problem, a small incision is made at the bottom of the nipple and moved into the correct position. Next, sutures are used to stabilise and position the nipple further, all the while ensuring that the nipple remains projecting outward. After the surgery has been completed, a device called a Stevens Stent is placed over the nipples to hold them in place and makes sure that the nipples heal whilst still facing outwards.
