Pinnaplasty
A pinnaplasty is a type of cosmetic surgery that is aimed at improving the appearance of protruding ears, which are also known as bat ears. Throughout society, individuals are judged based on their appearance, and anything that is abnormal or different is regarded, usually, as unattractive. In order to correct the problem of protruding ears, incisions are made in the crease behind the ear, and the skin is pulled tight in order to also pull the ears back, closer to the head. Sutures are used to hold the ears in place until the skin has healed. Recovery time takes a few days to a week, depending on the individual.
