Pulsed Light
The procedure of hair removal is performed either by the use of a laser, or by the use of Intense Pulsed Light. The latter is an increasingly popular procedure as it is cheaper and faster than laser hair removal. The procedure works by applying broad-spectrum light to the skin until it reaches the bulbs of the hair follicles. As the light energy is converted to heat energy, the hairs are vaporized, leaving skin that stays smooth for large periods of time. After undergoing treatment, the skin may be raised or slightly red, but this is typical of the procedure and usually diminishes after a few days.
