Turkey Neck
The term turkey neck refers to individuals who have a large amount of sagging skin underneath the chin, extending down the neck. It is named a turkey neck as it resembles the flap of skin seen on the neck of a turkey. Individuals who are overweight often suffer from this characteristic, but it is removed through a neck lift. A neck lift is performed by making incisions around the targeted area and tightening the skin by removing excess fat and skin from the area. Sutures are used to pull the skin together and to keep it in place while the wound heals.
