Q. I am considering Vaser Stem Cell Breast Augmentation but have a history of benign breast cysts. An ultrasound done last week revealed 3 cysts measuring less than 4mm in one breast only. Would this be considered a contraindication for the procedure?

Q. My breasts are saggy and tend to point south. Ideally I would love them to be full, rounded and perky. Which procedure would likely be best for me a breast augmentation, breast uplift or both? What the main difference between the two procedures??

A. Thank you for your enquiry.   From your description, it seems that an uplift would be necessary. The decision regarding volume, and therefore possible addition of a breast augmentation, depends on the volume that you want to achieve in the end.

Q. I have high cheek bones and have a good figure. At 48 my skin is still in excellent condition but I am starting to get jowels and sunken cheeks. What do you think would be the best treatment at this time? I though fillers may help for the short period or a facelift to have a permanent solution?

A. Thank you for your question. Fillers will not address the jowl and you would need a large volume of fillers to get rid of sunken cheeks.I would  probably suggest a mini or MACS face lift with some fat filling to the cheecks and mouth area. But remember this is advice without seeing you and evaluating your facial structure and skin.I do the procedure under local anaesthetic and sedation and it can be done as a day cace.The cost varies fron £2995 to $4450 depending on the extent of surgery and time spent in theatre.I hope this is of helpRegardsLeRoux Fouriewww.lerouxfourie.co.uk

A. Thank you for your enquiry.Mini and Macs face lift are routinely done under local anaesthesia and twilight sedation in my practice. I do like the MACS lift as it is a short scar technique that addresses the cheecs and jowl very well. A lower lid tuck can be done at the same time. Q. hi Mr Lucian Ion i have currently got a few tattoos on my neck and want them removed but dont want laser as it takes to long how much would it be for any alternatives thank you excuse the email it my boxing name

A. Thank you for your enquiry. It is unlikely that the result open excision would be anywhere near the aesthetic quality of laser treatment. The scars on the neck do not always heal as fine lines, and would potentially be much more visible. I am not a laser specialist,  but I know that standard surgery is very rarely a good solution for tattoo removal.

Q. Im looking for a tummy tuck after having my 3rd child 7 months ago as im left with loose skin and stretch marks.. how do i pick a surgeon who is an expert in tummy tucks as i dont want to end up with issues. i believe you are registered and have extensive qualifications so you specialize in tummy tucks. sorry im new to all of this. i also would like saline implants as im a worrier and the pip scare has totally scared me yet again, do you do saline implants and what would be the oputcome with regards to rippling etc is their a better type of saline for this. kind regards janine

A. Hi Janine. I can understand your concerns about silicone implants, and you should really be able to choose whatever implants you want to have. There are differences between saline and silicone implants in how they feel so you need to be aware of that. Also, saline implants can deflate and if they do then you need to have another operation, and that risk isn’t covered by any aftercare package, as there’s nothing we can do to prevent this. The risk is about 5% of this happening. In terms of a tummy tuck, if you do have any complications or concerns after surgery then we look after you and if I can fix anything that has gone wrong, I try and fix it. Again, there are some things you need to be aware of before the operation and I’d examine you and tell you what results you’re likely to get, where your scar is going to be and so on.

Q. Im very interested in having a breast enlargement i have the money to pay for it but im on some medication called methadone and alot of places will not take me on because of this i would like someone to call me back to see if i am able to go ahead with the surgery at your clinic could you please get someone to call me on 07######## it is better to call me on this number then to email me as i dont read them often thank you.

A. thanks for your enquiry. I’ll have someone call you with more information, but being on methadone itself shouldn’t be a problem. Clearly, you need a full assessment, just like everyone else, and I’ve treated several people on a variety of medications with a variety of medical problems in the past, even when some of the high street chains have turned people away. For example, I’ve treated people on methadone, people with kidney transplants, people with Crohn’s disease which is a type of inflammatory bowel disease, people who haven’t been able to have an anaesthetic from other organisations, and so on. Just because an organisation with limited skills cannot take you on, it doesn’t mean to say you’re not eligible for treatment, so please do come and see me and we can take things from there.
