A. I can perform breast surgery on women under 18, so long as you have a GP referral and come with a female adult responsible for your care – eg mother, grandmother, etc.

That way, the plastic surgeon can examine you, discuss what you wish to achieve and give you an indication of what can and cannot be done. Q. Having had two young sons, I now suffer from divarication of the recti. I have seen two hernia consultants at two different hospitals who said that it would require a large scar from the breast bone to the pelvic bone and are therefore refusing to do it. The last doctor I have seen has said I am very welcome to go private so I believe it is to do with the price. Having seen the procedure carried out on embarrassing bodies, where the incision is made through the caesarean scar I have from having the children I am now looking to go private. I am currently on nine different types of medication to relieve the pain along with a tense machine. A. Thank you very much for your enquiry, it does sound as if you have seen general surgeons who do tend to correct divarication of recti with a vertical incision. Most plastic surgeons however do tend to correct it with a low transverse incision just above your Caesarian scar. Q. I have stretch marks on both of my knees and side of my thighs and its really affecting my confidence. I was just wondering how much it would cost to remove them.
A. Hi there. Stretch marks are quite difficult to remove completely and we can’t really remove them. What we can do is try and improve upon them and we can do this using a few techniques – dermaroller, laser, etc. The treatments make an improvement but the stretch marks are still there and the treatments need to be repeated, so you usually have a course of about 6 dermarollers, for example. Q. Mr Shoaib, I have under developed facial fat pads which have caused unsightly lines on my cheeks since birth. I didn’t realise until recently that there are various techniques that can be used to improve this problem. Since then I have had Voluma injected into my cheeks which did lessen the lines and create fuller cheeks but did not take the lines away completely and as this isnt a permanent solution I am now looking for alternatives. I would appreciate it if you could give me your opinion on microfatgrafting cheek augmentation and cheek implants and what would be the best solution in my case. Thank You for your time.
A. Hi there. Both options are available to increase volume in the cheek region, and if you have enough fat in the stomach area, this is what I prefer to use. When we do fat injections, about half of it dissolves back over a few months, but what remains is permanent. Sometimes you will want to have another round of surgery a year or two later, and this is something that I do occasionally. The lines that you talk about are not going to go away with surgery, and we sometimes combine treatments such as laser, restylane vital, etc, to get as good a result as possible. Q. One side of my face has been damaged from a couple of slight accidents you could call them to my face and now gets me really depresed and as i age you cab begin to tel more i would like to bring out the cheeks slightly to add more definition to my face making it seem more semetrical and also a jaw implant who do i knw will be right to do this operation as i susspect it may be a lot of money and also i went to transform for a septoplasty which they didnt do a very good job at . this is also another thing i would like seen.

Thank you very much for your enquiry, it may well be possible to improve the symmetry of your face but I think it might be worthwhile seeing a maxillo-facial surgeon who specializes in the bony structure of the face. They will be able to suggest the best treatment for you and you can find a local maxillo-facial surgeon by phoning your local private hospital in your area and asking for suitable specialists.
