Can help my face is covered in acne scars?
Q. Hi Hope you can help my face is covered in acne scars from when i was younger. I have heard that chemical peels or lasers might be able to offer some improvement. How many treatments do you think i would need and how much is it per treatment as i am a student and on a limited budget and could afford small amount a month. What is the best treatment for acne scars in your opinion
A. Hi there. Sorry to hear about your acne. The scarring in acne is sometimes very difficult to get of completely and often things like chemical peels and lasers with improve matters but not remove the scarring completely. The more intensive the treatment the longer the recovery period and the better the effect. The less intensive the treatment, the quicker you can return to normal activities. For example recovery from a chemical peel is around 1 week, recovery from a fraxel laser can be around 2 weeks, and the redness from a CO2 laser lasts around 2-3 months but it’s very effective.
