Q. Can you give me a price for removing some excess fat that i seem to have underneath my chin. It is not that I am overweight or anything it just seems to collect their and makes me look much fatter than i actually am?
A. Thank you for your enquiry. It would be necessary to examine the situation in a consultation, in order to establish whether the fatty tissue that is excessive under the chin is primarily superficial (under the skin) or deeper (under the platysma muscles). In the first instance, liposuction can provide adequate contouring, but in the second situation liposuction would be insufficient for a good result, and an anterior neck lift procedure performed through an incision under the chin may represent a better approach. The costs are significantly different for the two procedures, with liposuction being approximately £2500, and the neck lift approximately £4500.
