I had a consultation recently and the surgeon suggested putting the implants over the muscle but im afraid they will sag quicker

Q. Im having a breast lift with implants this year at some stage. I had a consultation recently and the surgeon suggested putting the implants over the muscle but im afraid they will sag quicker. Is the technique of under and over the muscle dependent on every patient?

A. Hi there  Thank you for your enquiry. The decision for pocket placement in augmentation mastopexy will depend on a number of things including the amount of breast tissue, build of the patient, the implant size chosen and patient desires This needs to be assessed individually for every patient very carefully. I could not comment without examining you but I consult in Tunbridge Wells, East Grinstead, Brighton and Worthing and would be happy to see you to discuss everything. Please see www.paulebanwell.com for more information or phone 0845 2600 261 or email help@paulebanwell.com

I know most people go for silicone implants these days and I know that they are deemed safe now

Q. I know most people go for silicone implants these days and I know that they are deemed safe now, but I am still leaning towards saline implants. Whats your view on this subject please and what kind of implants would you recommend?

A. You can have any implant you want. However, the reason most women and surgeons are more keen on silicone implants rather than saline implants is because of how they feel. A bag of water inside the breast feels like a bag of water inside the breast, but silicone can be made to feel a little more like what a normal breast feels like. However, if you’re worried about safety then you have a choice and you can have a saline implant inserted instead. For silicone implants I would want to use implants that are relatively form stable and are made from cohesive gel, in other words even of you cut the implant in half, the silicone doesn’t run

How much would it cost for a Natrelle teardrop implant?

Q. How much would it cost for a Natrelle teardrop implant? i’m hoping for better shape and fuller projection, yet a soft natural implant, i have breastfed 4 children but i’m lucky to have good lift still, its more about shape and projection for me as i range between 36A-34B I’m very tall and i feel out of proportion at 6ft tall. regards.

A. Thank you very much for your enquiry, it may well be that a teardrop shaped implant is appropriate for you but you understand that each person who is best treated with different types of implants and this does vary on your height and body built and the appearance of your bust.   I think it would be sensible for you to have a look at our website http://aurora-clinics.co.uk and if you would like a free information CD on breast enlargement please click on the link to this in the breast augmentation section.   This CD would give you lots of information on the different types of implants and if you feel you would like to schedule a free consultation to discuss the best way forward for you please do so by ringing us on 01844-214362 or emailing us at info@aurora-clinics.co.uk.   Best wishes yours sincerely,   Adrian Richards Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeon Surgical Director of Aurora Clinics

I am eger to have my breasts enhanced with implabnts but im worried abvout them going hard and ending up regreting having them done

Q. I am eger to have my breasts enhanced with implants but im worried abvout them going hard and ending up regreting having them done. I appreciate that you can only give limited information without seeing me but are all people at rsik of this who have breast surgery or ios it for a particular reason?

A. Thank you very much for your enquiry, I completely understand your concerns about the implants going firm following surgery. There are some newer type of implants which coated with polyurethane lining which have an extremely low rate of capsular formation. This means they are very unlikely to go hard.   For more information about breast enlargement and particular polyurethane implants please visit our website http://aurora-clinics.co.uk and listen to the podcast discussing polyurethane implants.   If you feel you would like to schedule a free consultation please do so by ringing us on 01844-214362. We also have a free information CD on breast enlargement and we’ll be happy to send this to you if you email us your postal details to info@aurora-clinics.co.uk or fill-out a request for the information CD on the breast augmentation section of http://aurora-clinics.co.uk.   Best wishes yours sincerely,   Adrian Richards Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeon Surgical Director of Aurora Clinics

I was an A cup and now im a D. I never wanted to go so big but they insisted it would be better

Q. hi there i had a breast aug 2 and a half years ago. I was an A cup and now im a D. I never wanted to go so big but they insisted it would be better. They have remained firm and fake looking and fake feeling, i feel so uncomfortable (mentally) with them in and just wish i’d never done it. I want them out but i am frightened to death of what my boobs will look like once removed. If ive only had them in this short time will they just go back to look how they looked before or will they be ruined? Will i get stretch marks? (i have none now)…will the bee all saggy and wrinkley? is it better to drop down a size first to let my boobs get used to being smaller, or just get them out. And should i have the scar tissue removed if i have them taken out permenantly. I hope you can help with my questions,

A. Thank you very much for your enquiry, I’m very sorry you’re unhappy with the appearance of your breasts.   It is possible to remove your breast implants but on some occasions the skin can look slightly loose following this.   The other option is to downsize the implants and made them slightly smaller.   I think it would be worthwhile having a look at our website http://aurora-clinics.co.uk where you’ll find lots of information about this type of treatment.   If you would like a free information CD on breast enlargement and removal of implants please email us at info@aurora-clinics.co.uk or fill-out the application form for the information CD on our website http://aurora-clinics.co.uk.   Many thanks for your enquiry, I wish you the best of luck.   Best wishes yours sincerely,   Adrian Richards Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeon Surgical Director of Aurora Clinics

I am looking at a rough idea of cost to have natrelle breast implants.

Q. I am looking at a rough idea of cost to have natrelle breast implants.

A. Thank you very much for your enquiry, as a rough guide for Natrelle implant with the surgeons at Aurora clinics would be £4,500.   We do use a number of different types of breast implants and it would be best to see you in person to assess your breast to so we can recommend which of these implants would be best appropriate for you.   If you feel you would like to schedule a free consultation to discuss the best type of implants for you please do so by ringing us on 01844-214362 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting            01844-214362      end_of_the_skype_highlighting. In the mean time, it might be worthwhile having a look at our website http://aurora-clinics.co.uk which has lots of information about breast implants surgery including videos of myself performing the operation and also video testimonials of people who’ve undergone the similar procedure recently.   Many thanks for your enquiry, we do look forward to meeting you in the near future.   Best wishes yours sincerely,   Adrian Richards Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeon Surgical Director of Aurora Clinics

I would like a breast enlargement but have been informed by another clinic that because of my age 48 that I am too old

Q. I would like a breast enlargement but have been informed by another clinic that because of my age, 48, and having had 4 children naturally and breast fed all of them that I am too old. Also that my breasts are too saggy and soft to have an augmentation due to inadequate support of the existing muscle/tissue behind the breasts. The extra weight would drag them down further I was told. However, an uplift is possible. But with more scaring. This is disappointing because I prefer augmentation to give the breasts more shape, size and volume. I am a 36C cup but wished to go up to either a DD or an E cup. Is that feasible and would it work? Can an operation to enlarge my boobs give them uplift as well as extra size? Thank you

A. Hi there thank you very much for your enquiry. it is difficult to comment really without seeing you but it sounds as though they recommended an augmentation mastopexy (uplift and enlargement). Please do contact the office on 0845 2600 261 and speak to Kim or Janine. Alternatively you can email help@paulebanwell.com we can discuss the various options open to you when we meet in person Have a great weekend Best wishes Paul banwell.com www.paulebanwell.com

Could you tell me what your aftercare is on a BA??, i have had several consultations and its either 5years or a lifetime aftercare against ruptures or the dreaded CC etc

Q. Mr Shoaib. Could you tell me what your aftercare is on a BA??, i have had several consultations and its either 5years or a lifetime aftercare against ruptures or the dreaded CC etc and just wondering what you offer as i know you are an independent surgeon not a company.. Thanks Again

A. Hi there. My aftercare is in three time periods and I’ve taken the liberty of copying and pasting some information I tell my staff to let people know: LIFETIME WARRANTY. All my implants have a lifetime warranty, so I give a lifetime warranty for implants. I don’t use cheap implants that don’t have a lifetime warranty, and I never have. I was not involved in using the now banned implants that many other companies used in the past as well. The lifetime warranty that I give is no different from the lifetime warranty that other companies give, because the warranty comes with the implant and the implant manufacturers. However, it’s important to be aware that the lifetime warranty is one that the manufacturers give (not the surgeon, not the hospital etc). The warranty covers all manufacturer’s defects and if the implant ruptures from such a defect, the implant company will cover the cost of the implant for free and so there will be no charge for the new implant itself. However, no company gives free operations for the rest of the patient’s lifetime and the warranty does not cover the cost of running an operating theatre, etc. In fact, when it comes to trying to claim for aftercare with some companies they don’t bother with their patients and we hear these stories on a regular basis on the internet forums. FIVE YEAR WARRANTY: There  is a five year warranty automatically included with Nagor implants against grade III or IV capsular contracture (CC). To explain CC. Whenever we put in a foreign material (eg breast implant, eye lens for cataract surgery, bone plate or pins, a new hip joint, etc) into the body, the body recognises it as being foreign and so it creates a wall of scar tissue around it. That’s perfectly normal. What isn’t normal is when, over the years, the scar tissue becomes harder and harder and then eventually starts to contract. This distorts a breast and makes a natural shaped implant convert into a distorted shape of a breast. See here for an example: http://bit.ly/fdfeIU. CC is classified according to different grades – grade I is normal, grade II is hardening, grade III is hardening and distorted and grade IV is hardening, distorted and painful. The warranty for Nagor implants is for 5 years cover against grade III or IV CC. We offer a 5 year warranty with Nagor and not with Allergan because Allergan choose not to give us free implants if there’s a problem with CC, whereas Nagor do. ONE YEAR WARRANTY: All of Mr Shoaib’s surgeries come with a one year warranty. So, if anything goes wrong, he will ask the hospital to let him do a free of charge procedure and they’ve never said no to him. His revision rate is 3%.

I am thinking about a breast enlargenment at methley park

Q. I am thinking about a breast enlargenment at methley park, and would like to ask what the differences are between silicone gel and saline solution implants. Does it depend on what your desired look is and also your body shape, I seem to be struggling on deciding which would be better for me? Thank you for you time.

A. Thank you for your email. Silicone Gel filled implants are filled with silicone gel. Saline filled implants are filled with saline. The consistency of the implants is different. Silicone filled implnats have better consistency. Majority of plastic surgeons in U.K prefer silicone implants for aesthetic breast augmentation. I hope this helps to clarify your doubts. I have just had my implants removed a replaced with a tear shape type

Q. I have just had my implants removed a replaced with a tear shape type my old ones were round 600grs my new one are 560grs and now I have rippling after just three months and have droped I did not have this problem before and I had them for 8 years. Will I need to have them replaced.

A. Thank you for your email. If the rippling is in the upper part of your breasts and the implants are in front of the muscles then repositioning them behind the muscles will help. If the rippling is in the lower pole of the breatsts, then it will be difficult to correct unless you downgrade the size of the implants and consider breast lift if appropriate. These are my initial thoughts ! I have following suggestions to help you further: 1) Please send me good quality photos for  my initial comments. 2) You may wish to arrange a detailed consultation to allow me to examine you and give my opinion. 3) Please visit our website: www.vadodariaplasticsurgery.com  to allow you to develop better insight into the procedure.
