Q. hi i live in bradford, and thinking of getting a breast uplift, how much would this cost, and can u pay on finance? thanks

A. Thank you very much for your enquiry, our breast uplift procedure is £5,690 and we do specialize in this field. Also we have a number of surgeons in your area who’ll be able to treat you more locally.   I think it might be worthwhile having a look on our website http://www.aurora-clinics.co.uk to find more information about breast uplift surgery and also listen to our free information CD on breast uplift surgery which is available at http://www.aurora-clinics.co.uk/free-information-cd.html.   This will give you a very good idea of what’s involved in the procedure, likely recovery period and result.   If you feel you would like a further opinion as to the best type of treatment for you we’d be happy to review your photographs you can send them to info@aurora-clinics.co.uk. If you would like to schedule to a consultation to discuss the best way forward for you please do so by ringing us on 01844-214362 or emailing us at info@aurora-clinics.co.uk.   Best wishes yours sincerely,   Adrian Richards Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeon Surgical Director of Aurora Clinics

Q. Hi I hope u can help. I have natural symmastia And have always been quite conscious of it. I feel I need to do something about it but I don’t know what or where. They isn’t an awful lot of information online, i’ve also rang a few clinics who unfortunately have not been much help. Please help me on what I need to do and where in the uk I can get it done. Thanks a lot.

A. Hello and thankyou for your question. This is a difficult problem, it can present occasionally after breast augmentation surgery if the two pockets for each side of the breast are inadvertently connected, or occasionally as in yourself, the breasts are naturally connected.  The solution for you would be best discussed after consultation to determine exactly what type of symmasia you have, taking into account your aims and the natural size and degree of ptosis (droop) of the breasts.  A small removal of redundant tissue or sculpting with liposuction are options, and may be combined with definition of the space between the breasts; sometimes a buried set of sutures to sequestrate and lock the breasts as two different compartments can be undertaken. I hope that helps to clarify your options; if you wish to discuss things further of course please feel free to contact our office.

I had breast surgery 7 yrs ago, the left breast feels

Q. I had breast surgery 7 yrs ago, the left breast feels hard when I lie down, feels softer when I stand, but I can still feel the differnce. Is it possible to have both implants removed and new ones implanted at the same time, or do I have to wait between operations. If I do nothing will thes become dangerous. Kind Regards

A. Dear Debbie,   Thank you very much for your question, it does sound as if you are developing capsules around the breast implant which tend to make it go slightly firmer.   Capsules are rather like string wrap which can develop the implant and cause it to constrict become harder and move less.   The implants can certainly be removed and replaced with the underlying capsule and this is a technique we specialize in here at Aurora Clinics.   For more information about the procedure please visit our website http://www.aurora-clinics.co.uk and on the breast implants in exchange page which has lots of information about the procedure.   If you feel you would like to schedule a consultation to discuss the best way forward for you please do so by ringing us on 01844-214362.   Best wishes yours sincerely,   Adrian Richards Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeon Surgical Director of Aurora Clinics

Q. Hello, my question is about a breast lift. After having children and then losing quite a lot of weight, my formerly very large breasts have reduced in size and left loose skin. They are very droopy, the nipple sits 3 inches under the breast crease and when I wear an uplifting bra the skin wrinkles and looks unsightly. I am interested in an uplift surgery and want to know if in cases like mine, there is a successful result without the need for implants? Kind regards :-)

A. Thank you for your email. Breast lift (mastopexy) is a well recognised procedure for correcting saggy breasts. Augmented mastopexy is a recognised operation for tightening the lose breasts and making them bigger.  I have following suggestions to help you further: 1) Please send me good quality photos for  my initial comments. 2) You may wish to arrange a detailed consultation to allow me to examine you and give my opinion. 3) Please visit our website: www.vadodariaplasticsurgery.com including the photo gallery  to allow you to develop better insight into the procedure. Please contact my office on 0208 997 3976 between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm or by ehmail on info@vadodariaplasticsurgery.com for further guidance. I am very concerned about choosing the wrong surgeon

Q. Hi, I am very concerned about choosing the wrong surgeon / practice for my breast enlargement. What is the best source of advice and what implants are deemed the ‘best’? Many thanks!

A. Thank you for your email. It is a difficult decision. I have following suggestions. 1) To see the surgeon for an initial consultation 2) To have more than one consultation with more than one surgeon for comparing 3) Check the qualifications and experience 4) Meet or have a chat with patients who have been operated by the surgeon. I hope these suggestions may help you to make the right decision. Wish you very best wishes,

Q. I had breast implants last December.I have found a lump near the nipple area is it possible to have a fine needle biopsy. My surgeon wants to cut out the lump rather than risk implant rupture. It is probably benign.

A. Thank you very much for your enquiry, it certainly is possible to have a needle biopsy of the lump and often this is done under ultrasound guidance which allows the very accurate placement of the needle within the lump.   This type of surgery is normally performed by a radiologist or a surgeon who specializes in breast lumps rather than a plastic surgeon.   If your surgeon is a plastic surgeon it may well be worthwhile asking him and to schedule an appointment with a surgeon who specializes in breast lumps rather than breast implants as they will have access to ultrasound scans and biopsy techniques.   I hope this information has been helpful and I do wish you the best of luck in the future.   Best wishes yours sincerely,   Adrian Richards Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeon Surgical Director of Aurora Clinics

Q. my 16 year old doughter has one breast biger than other (appr.2 sizes)what could be done (not silicone) when(age)to correct size

A. Thank you very much for your enquiry, it is relatively common for people to have symmetry between their breasts and this tends to become more apparent as she ages.   It is possible to improve the symmetry and this can be done by a combination of either breast implants, uplifts or reduction on the larger side.   Best treatment really depends on the size and appearance of the bust and your daughter’s wishes.   Normally, we do like to wait until your daughter is approximately 18 when her breast development is finished before considering surgery.   However, in some cases if the breast symmetry is really quite significant it is possible to perform surgery before that time and it would be possible to schedule a consultation and it would probably best to schedule a consultation to discuss the best way forward for her.   This can be done by scheduling a consultation with our specialist surgeons by ringing us on 01844-214362 or emailing us at info@aurora-clinics.co.uk.   Many thanks for your enquiry.   Best wishes yours sincerely,   Adrian Richards Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeon Surgical Director of Aurora Clinics

At 66 am I too old to have brerast reduction surgery

Q. At 66 am I too old to have brerast reduction surgery?

A. Thank you very much for your enquiry, no you’re certainly not too old to have breast reduction surgery infact many people do decide to have the breast reduction slightly at later age because they get further back and neck ache from the heavy weight they carry around their chest.   I think it’s certainly worthwhile listening to our free information CD on breast reduction surgery and you can obtain this by emailing us at info@aurora-clinics.co.uk or phoning us on 01844-214362.   Alternatively, you can listen to this online at http://www.aurora-clinics.co.uk/cosmetic-surgery-podcast/category/cosmetic-surgery-podcast/.   Best wishes yours sincerely,   Adrian Richards Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeon Surgical Director of Aurora Clinics
