Q. I hate the look of my labia as they are long. It affects my sex life and life in general and makes me very conscious all the time. Is there an age limit for this procedure ? And would i be able to have children after the surgery? Regards
A. Thanks. There is no age limit. I have done ladies in their 50s, but not yet in their 60s for labia reduction. I have done over 60s for vaginal tightening. No dont need to have had babies for either surgery, but this can be discussed, if necessary, but it does not usually affect labial reduction surgery.

Q. Hi, My question is about malar bags/malar fat pad. can canthopexy procedure listed on your website correct malar bags. im in my 30s, mine bother me big time. they are not huge but i find them very irritating the way they rest like a nike swoosh on top of my cheekbones. would you recommend a cheeklift surgery where the orbital fat could be repositioned or trimmed, what about liposuction with a tiny cannula, some american doctors do it, i dont know, i just need help, but please dont offer cheek implants or injectables. im eagerly looking forward to your response. thanks in advance julie

Q. Hi. im 34 years old and have had a total of 11 pregancies with 4 live births, all complicated. my start weight was 15 stone in 1999 and now i am 17 and 1/2 stone. second pregancy i had a son. during the bith my three lower discs where split. on my 3rd live birth i had an emergancy c section to save mine and my babies life. and on my forth live birth after a recomended slected c section, during the birth they hit problems as my internal scaring was quite bad and things wernt in the right place so it ment a complicated delivery and a hip to hip c section scar, i also insisted on steralisation as it was deemed any further children would result in mine or any further childs death. after the last c section they had to cut a lot of scar tissue away. i have been told my stomach mucels are shot and i have very weak and poor core mucels that with no amount of exercise will change it, due to this, i have a very large over hand of my stomac and also an inlarged bulbus vagina, there is a possiblilty of a vaginal/anal prolaps too add to it all. making love is painfull. i did go to seek advice on a full tummy tuck but was told due to my weight of 17.1/2 stone it was not possible unless i got down to 15 stone.but due to the split discs and all the other fun i have to deal with, weight loss is very difficult as walking excercising is very difficult, i have no self confidents and my married sex life is suffering as i have to determin if making love is worth several days of pain. so any advice on what may help me and wether i may be able to get any help with my situation would be greatly appreciated thanks for your time
A. Thanks. I think the first issue here is to see if weight reduction is possible. You can look into gastric banding. I think doing somethign about the painful sex may be feasible if done under local anaesthesia. You can look itno a procedure called LAVA. We are doign research in summer that looks at injection instead of surgery to deal with this pain.

Q. I am 43 yrs old with 3 children. My youngest daughters birth was very difficult with shoulder dystocia resulting in my daughter suffering an erbs palsy injury. I did not start my periods again for 13 months after the birth and have had problems with my periods ever since,. they have been very very heavy, clotting and irregular. so on the 1/11/10 i had a merino coil fitted, i have bled every day since it has been fitted. i have also had severe headaches, sore breasts and stomache pains.At my 6 week check i told my GP and on examination she could not locate the coil. I went for a ultrasound scan and it was found to still be in place.Is this normal or should i have it removed? Thank you very much for your time.
A. Thanks. You dont have to have it removed, as long as you know its in the right place and it is working to reduce your period bleeding. The irregular bleeding is a usaul side-effect and it can take about 4-6 months to finally disappear. If it is still a problem after this, then consider removing it.
