A. I think you are too young to consider fillers yet as you then enter a treadmill where you have to have a top up every 9 to 12 months.

Q. I am actually interested in a surgical lip lift to correct a long upper lip; are you experienced in this type of procedure? If so, what would the cost be?

A. The cost of a lip lift is about £1000. It does leave a scar under the nose. If you have a thin upper lip, a filler or fat transfer will lift the lip if done properly

Q. hello there. I have recently had lower blepharoplasty and saw the surgeon last week. He suggested because of thin skin under the eyes and hollowing post procedure that I consider coleman fat transfer. The only option available is under a general aneasthetic which I am reluctant to have – what are the issues with local aneasthetic and is it feasible? Apparently my malar cheek bags are visible.

A. I personally do Coleman under local anaesthetic. Why dont you try a filler such as Juvederm first to see the result before you have fat filling. Discuss this with your surgeon

Q. I have struggled with weight mainly around my lower middle. Despite all the low carb diets my GP advised me to go on, i still seem to have lots of fat, like a spare tyre. Would i be suitable for liposuction given above?

Q. Hi Am interested in getting rid of the slack skin in lower abdomen caused by having kids. I am usually quite fit but cannot shift this using diet and exercise due to the skin being stretched. Will Body lipo work at also tightening the skin up after some of the fat is removed and how soon will I be able to exercise again? Kind Regards

A. If you have loose skin, liposuction will make it worse. I would suggest a consultation with an accredited plastic surgeon for an iunbiased opinion (see www.baaps.org)

Q. Are there any particular medical problems that may stop me from being considered for dermal fillers? I have been having medication for the last year for high blood pressure and wondered if this would impede me from having the treatments?

A. High blood pressure is not a contraindication. If you are on Asperin you should stop this about 7 days before treatment. Discuss your medical history with the practitionner before treatment

Q. I have been suffering with real bad acne , i have very oily skin and because i squeeze my pimples all the time im left with terrible scars.Wouldfraxel laser be the best thing for my face….

A. You need to have your acne under control before you cconcider any treatment. Ask your GP to consider a prescription for Duac ointment and Oxytetracycline antibiotic. You can also ask for a referral to dermatology for consideration for Roaccutane or Retin A treatment

Q. Hi there! I would like to know if the chemical peel treatment is suitable for someone with acne problems? will it even out the complexion and remove (if not reduce) acne? what sort of benefits does one gain from chemical peel treatment? Also, how much will the cost of this be and how long will it take to heal after the treatment is complete and how long will the effects of this last? Thanks LR

A. I prefer to do Dermaroller therapy to chemica;l peel as rthe results are better with less loss of skin pigmentation. The dermaroller consists of 3 treatments 6 weeks apart with home maintanance therapy. The recovery is 3 to 4 days but a sunscreen needs to be applied.The cost is £1184 for the whole cource. Q. hi, im nearly 33 yrs old. ive tried every non surgical treatment for my neck from thread lift, thermage, an injection similar to lipodissolve and accent but nothing has worked. what can i do. im a size 8-10 so have only a bit of fat in that area especially under my chin but im mainly wanting to have a defined jawline. thanks

A. it is difficult to give an opinion without seeingyou but it sounds like you need focused liposuction maybe combined with a small mini lift and Labbe type of neck suspension where the neck muscle is lifted towards the ear with a specific sutute. Q. How much will it cost for a chin implant or cheek implant? im 34 and my face is too thin. Even when i put weight on my body my face shape remains thin. i want a fuller face. will any of these procedures help? this is v important to me. thanking you in advance for a prompt reply

A. I think you could benefit for microfatgrafting to the face , cheecks and chin. With liposuction techniques, I harvest your own fat and inject it under the skin to give volume to the face.
