Q. Hello. Im looking to have chin reduction im 30 in good health. Its something ive wanted for while but finally want to go through with it ive been to my dentist told me my jaw posistion is fine just my chin juts straight out there is also lot of fat tissue on my chin which adds to the size can that also be removed,it doesnt really fit with the rest my face like to know who and where the best surgeon to deal with this matter also the cost and procedure which is involved. Thank you for your enquiry.   In general terms, both plastic surgeons and maxillofacial surgeons can be of assistance in this matter.   Most frequently, I would include in the consultation a 3-D analysis and simulation to determine the type and degree of change that creates a pleasing appearance for the area in balance with the rest of the face.   The type of surgery needed follows from this analysis, and the cost of the surgery depends on the treatment plan.

Q. I want to know the best procedure to remove redness and veins from my face.

A. This is usually a combination of intense pulsed light and laser treatments, and usually depends on the characteristics of the redness and veins.

Q. Hello, Im 16 years old and wonderd at what age can i have plastic surgery? i want my nose to be straight as it is wonky and i want the freckles removed off my cheek. You seem like the best man for the job.

A. Thank you for your enquiry and your kind comments. I normally consider rhinoplasty surgery after the age of 18, when the overall facial proportions have reached a more stable period.  With regards the freckles, you should consider using sunblock on a regular basis attenuates the damage to the skin and visibility of the freckles without having to resort to more aggressive treatment.  Even if you do have treatment to reduce the visibility of the freckles, unprotected sun exposure is likely to bring them back possibly worse than they were before.

Q. Is it possible to use the technique bodytite for fat grafting? greets Naomi

A. Thank you for your enquiry.   If you want to use as donor site an area where radio-frequency assisted liposuction may also be beneficial, the sequence would be first to harvest the fatty tissue and subsequently to use the Bodytite to firm the tissues up.   I suspect that you use the Bodytite first, the damage that it does to the fat are that you remove, is likely to make it unpredictable for grafting.

Q. Ive had 2 courses of skin resurfacing / chemical peels which cost £200 each, but have not noticed any improvement in my skin. Is there any better treatments for facial lines and somethingthat will firm my skin as well?

A. Thank you for your enquiry. Deeper chemical peels are likely to create more tightening effect, but they do end up more expensive and have  a longer healing period. Laser treatments are also an option, and these days most of the time they involve fractionated delivery, so that the healing is shorter and the risk of side-effects decreases.

Q. Hello. I have a Deeper chemical peelswhere i have loose skin and fat mainly below the navel… is it true i might be able to get away with a mini tummy tuck? as above my navel ther eis not much fat or loose skin and i have a small waist.. please advise kind regards j griffiths

A. Thank you for your enquiry.  From what you are describing, I think it is unlikely, because the protruding abdomen is usually the effect of weakness between the rectus muscles (sixpack muscles) going from top to bottom, rather than just in the lower abdomen. It would only be possible to give you adequate advice at the time of the consultation, when I would have the opportunity to examine through the abdominal wall.
