Q. I am considering Vaser Stem Cell Breast Augmentation but have a history of benign breast cysts. An ultrasound done last week revealed 3 cysts measuring less than 4mm in one breast only. Would this be considered a contraindication for the procedure?

A. Thank you for your enquiry. It is unlikely that the result open excision would be anywhere near the aesthetic quality of laser treatment. The scars on the neck do not always heal as fine lines, and would potentially be much more visible. I am not a laser specialist, but I know that standard surgery is very rarely a good solution for tattoo removal.

Q. I am a massage therapist. Please advise how soon after botox I can give a facial massage. Does a facial shorten the affect of a botox treatment.
A. The thank you for your enquiry I recommend to my patients to avoid pressure to the areas treated with Botox for the first 24 hours, as well as to refrain from exercise for the same duration. I suppose that for maximum safety you may want to extend this interval to 48 hours, and I would recommend that around the forehead the direction of the massage is always away from the eyes (which it probably is anyway). Once the botulinum toxin has attached itself to the receptors present in the neuromuscular plate, I cannot see why massage to the area with change in anyway the duration of the effect.

Q. I want to get a bum surgury to make it bighger how much would it be and were would you get the fat from? and how long does it take? and does it hurt?
A. Thank you for your enquiry. In most instances, the fatty tissue would come from the flanks, because it contributes to the contrast when the waste becomes narrower and the bottom more rounded. In most instances, the pain and discomfort is moderate, and is more likely to be where the fatty tissue comes from rather then where it is injected. The operation is likely to take approximately 2 hours and is more likely to be under a general anaesthetic.
