Q. I have a tear to my ear lobe caused by wearing heavy earings in my your can you advise who can carry out a repair in the wolverhampton or Birmingham areas and give me an idea of cost please. kind regards
A. Thank you for your enquiry, it is possible to repair split earlobes and if you ring us on 01844-214362 we’ll be happy to be in contact with our surgeon in the Birmingham area we could see you ourselves in our Northampton clinic which is relatively not too far from Birmingham. Regarding macrolane we no longer perform this at Aurora Clinics as we do encounter some problems with it principally that macrolane went firm in some cases. I know some practitioners do perform macrolane and it might be worth scheduling consultation with them. We tend to prefer more long term which involves breast implant and you’ll find lots of information about this on our website http://www.aurora-clinics.co.uk. I think it might also be worthwhile listening to the information CD on breast enlargement surgery which you can listen to online at this link http://www.aurora-clinics.co.uk/cosmetic-surgery-podcast/ or get a copy of by emailing us atinfo@aurora-clinics.co.uk. Q. I have a large philtrum and was wondering if there was a procedure possible to reduce this, and make it less noticable as it has often been pointed out.
A. Thank you for your email. It would be difficult to give advice without either your examination or seeing your photographs. There are 2 possibilities. 1) to lift the adjoining area like philtral dimple etc or 2) reduce the philtral projection. Lifting the adjoining areea could be done by dermal fillers or fat graft. I have following suggestions to help you further: 1) Please send me good quality photos for my initial comments. 2) You may wish to arrange a detailed consultation to allow me to examine you and give my opinion. 3) Please visit our website: www.vadodariaplast.icsurgery.com including the photo gallery to allow you to develop better insight into the procedure. Please contact my office on 0208 997 3976 between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm or by ehmail on info@vadodariaplasticsurgery.com for further guidance. Q. I have seen a surgeon that says he can perform an inverted nipple correction but only under general anaesthetic – is this case?
A. Thank you very much for your enquiry, I perform inverted nipple corrections under local anesthetic and performed approximately 30 of these per month. I do use general anesthetics sometimes if the patient’s having other procedures such as breast enlargement that almost never for an inverted nipple correction procedure. Most of the patients find the procedure quite comfortable and recover very quickly from it. For more information about what’s involved in inverted nipple correction please visit our website http://www.aurora-clinics.co.uk and get the inverted nipple section here you’ll find lots of information about the surgery. Q. I have never had inverted nipples but in the past two months I have notice one nipple becoming inverted – should I be concerned?
A. Thank you very much for your enquiry, if you just noticed your nipples has become inverted in the last couple of months I would suggest that it would be best to have a consultation with your GP. Some inversion of the nipples can signify something going on inside your breast tissue which is certainly be checked. It maybe that your GP would probably want to examine your chest and possibly arrange for scans if he has other concerns. I wish you the best of luck with your GP.
