My im from ireland im really paranoid about my big forehead it has really affected my self esteem and i hate it. i hate the wind and i hate goin to the hair dressers or doing anything that reveals my forehead. there are days were i look in the mirror and cry which isn’t normal. is there anywhere in the uk or ireland that i can sort this out? and how much it costs. it would change me as a person if i could get this done so i would really be so greatful if you got back to me
A. Thank you very much for your enquiry in answer to it, it is possible to have surgery for your forehead but it would be easier for me to give you a more clear information if you could let me know which one concerns you have about the appearance of your forehead. It might also be sensible to look at our website http://aurora-clinics.co.uk which is which has more information on the types of surgery available for the forehead. If you would like to schedule a consultation to discuss the best way forward for you following this please do so by ringing us on 01844-214362. Q. Can you tell me a bit more information on hairline lowering foreheadplasty. how the procedure works/ how long does it take? is it permanent? how much? thanks
A. Thank you for your enquiry. The hairline lowering foreheadplasty is performed under a general anaesthetic either as a daycase or overnight stay. The procedure take 1 1/2 hours. A zigzag incision is made in the existing hairline and the hairbearing scalp is lifted and moved forward to the desired position. this is held in place using the Endotine Forehead implants (like carpet grips) to prevent the hairline being pulled back. The desire position is market on the forehead and the excess skin removed. The incision is closed with fine sutures which are removed in 7 days. A small drain is inserted under the scalp which is removed before discharge. The procedure is permanent. The cost is in the region of £4500. An accurate quotation will be provided following your consultation. Please call Anne or Kirstie on 0845 009 2775 or email kirstie@lbps.co.uk who will be happy to arrange your consultation for you.Best regards

Q. I am interested to know if there is any plastic surgery available to reduce the size of my forehead. It is not extremely oversized but for around 6-7 years now it has been making me feel very uncomfortable. Would hair transplants to the front of my head be able to hide my high forhead?
A. We have indeed two weeks ago transplanted hair for a young lady to visible reduce down the size of her forehead, years ago surgeons performed scalp reductions but this in itself caused additional complication with pain, scarring and also with hair line adjustment. So a hair transplant could be the option for you and would if it is suitable reduce the appearence of a high forehead. Please call the clinic on 0027 430 9674 and arrange a consultation and we would be able to recommend whether this procedure is for you

Q. Hi Chris, Do you do any kind of surgery to reduce a high and wide forehead? I am a twenty four year old female and have a very masculine forehead and was wondering what you’d recommend for solving this problem? Thanks for your time.
A. Thank you for your enquiry. Yes this surgery is called a Hairline lowering Foreheadplasty – which involves advancing the hairline to a normal female line and shaping the forehead as required. This normally requires a one night stay in hospital and a recovery of approximately 2 weeks. Please call Anne or Kirstie on 0845 009 2775 who will be happy to arrange your consultation for you to discuss your concerns and the options.Best regards
