Please can you share your expert views and opinions on normal gynecomastia operations and the newer VASER techniques?

Q. Please can you share your expert views and opinions on normal gynecomastia operations and the newer VASER techniques? Everything I read points me to the more modern technique however if this is the case why is traditional liposuction still used? How can I check if a Surgeon or clinic has proven successful experience in this field? Lastly is there an operation to reduce the size of the male nipple?

A. Thank you for your email. Any form of conventional liposuction can be used for correction of gynacomastia and if performed by an experienced plastic surgeon , it can provide satisfactory outcome. There are more than one new techniques used for liposuction. Selection of technique is a matter of surgeon’s choice. The best thing for you to have more than one surgeon’s opinion by having an initial consultation. You should check surgeon’s qualification. Nipple reduction can be combined with gynacomastia procedure.   I have following suggestions to help you further: 1) Please send me good quality photos for total my initial comments. 2) You may wish to arrange a detailed consultation to allow me to examine you and give my opinion. 3) Please visit our website: www.vadodariaplasticsurgery.com  to allow you to develop better insight into the procedure. I want to know if liposuction can be used to get rid of gynecomastia

Q. I want to know if liposuction can be used to get rid of gynecomastia. No matter how much I work out or how underweight I try to stay, I can’t get rid of this problem. Can this problem be fixed with liposuction?

A. Liposuction , in my opinion , is the best option for gynecomastia correction. It leaves hardly any scarring, reduces the breast tissue very well and is least likely to leave contour defects commonly seen with open surgical removal

I am considering surgery for gynaecomastia

Q. I am considering surgery for gynaecomastia. I have type two diabetes which is well controlled. Will this change anything if i wanted to go ahead with surgery? Would the scar be worse and would recovery time be longer? I have an active job. Does the fact that i am a diabetic have any other problems if i went ahead with surgery?

A. Thank you very much for your enquiry about possible treatment for gynaecomastia. This is normally possible to be treated if you do have type II diabetes it’s important to get down to a normal weight with a body mass index of 30 or below prior to your surgery. The main options of treatment during liposuction and excisional techniques and it would be best to see you in person to discuss the best way forward for you in person. To arrange a free consultation please ring us on 01844-214362 or email us on info@aurora-clinics.co.uk. Many thanks for your enquiry, we do look forward to meeting you in the near future. I underwent liposuction treatment about 4 years ago on my chest to treat my man boobs

Q. I underwent liposuction treatment about 4 years ago on my chest to treat my man boobs but I was very disappointed with the results and would like to discuss alternatives treatments that may be a better option. Although the liposuction did get rid of some of the breasty areas it seem to be getting worse again and I have not put any extra weight on. When I orginially did the surgery I was looking for a permanent solution and I don’t feel I got this. Would you be able to offer me any advice please?

A. Thank you for your enquiry. I am soryy to hear that you are troubled by this problem.  Recurrance of “man boobs” can result form a number of factors.  If all of the breast tissue was not removed then this can regrow.  You should have a full hormone profile blood test to ensure that you do not have a hormonal imbalance which is the cause.  I would also recommend a ultrasound scan of your chest to determine if there is any breast tissue or just fatty tissue.  Any breast tissue will need to be excised by surgery. Please call Anne or Kirstie on 0207 863 2140 or email kirstie@lbps.co.uk who will be happy to assist you. What are the option available to me to flatten my man breasts

Q. What are the option available to me to flatten my man breasts. I am only 28 and this is causing me a great deal of worry as I can only see the problem getting worse.

A. Hi there. Male chest enlargement is also called gynaecomastia and I have put some information on line about it here: http://www.labelleforme.co.uk/gynaecomastia.html. I use a combination of lipoosuction and excision to try and get the best results and it’s a decision I sometimes make before the operation when I examine you and sometimes I make the decision in the operating theatre before we stop the procedure. If you would like me to see you to give more information about your personal situation then I would be happy to see you at a formal consultation
