A. Thank you very much for your enquiry, it is possible to lower the position of your hairline but this does involves scar running along the junction of your hairline and your skin of your forehead. People with dark skin the scarring can be very variable and may not be appropriate in your case. I do not specialize in this type of treatment but there are surgeons in the United Kingdom who do perform this surgery and it maybe worthwhile having a look on the web for this types of surgeons or perhaps discussing treatment options with your GP. Q. I have a really high hairline which makes my forehead look big and i am really insecure about it , i always have my fringe down i would never go out the door without having my hair over my forhead because im so paranoid. i wouldn’t dream about going to the swimming pool and the hairdressers are my worst nightmare becaue i know my forhead would have to show! is there any procedures that can be done for this in the uk or ireland? i would really appreciate it if you got back to me asap because im fed up being insecure and having no self esteem and it would really help my confidence.

Q. I hate the size of my forehead and have heard of this hair line surgery, the thing is when i think of lowering my hair line, i keep thinking it would look really odd with hair coming out in the middle of my forehead. A. Thank you very much for your enquiry, you’re right it is possible to lower the appearance of you forehead by removing some tissue in front of your hairline and bringing it downwards. This is relatively a specialist surgery and would need to be performed by a surgeon who concentrates in this field. I’m sorry there is no other way of any technology which will help you see a picture of yourself with a lower hairline however this certainly is a good idea. You could try to create image of yourself by taking a photo and altering it in adobe photoshop. A. yes, it is possible to lower the hair line by transplanting hair, I have recently just performed two procedures for this for a young lady and a young gentleman to reduce down the appearance of the size of the forehead – the procedure works in the same way you extract follicules individually and then place them in in the area and recreate a naturaly looking hairline. It is impossible to to let you have a specific price without you either sending through some picture, having a consultation either in person or by skype as it really depnds on the amount of work and time involved.
