Q. One side of my face has been damaged from a couple of slight accidents you could call them to my face and now gets me really depresed and as i age you cab begin to tel more i would like to bring out the cheeks slightly to add more definition to my face making it seem more semetrical and also a jaw implant who do i knw will be right to do this operation as i susspect it may be a lot of money and also i went to transform for a septoplasty which they didnt do a very good job at . this is also another thing i would like seen.
A. Thank you very much for your enquiry, it may well be possible to improve the symmetry of your face but I think it might be worthwhile seeing a maxillo-facial surgeon who specializes in the bony structure of the face. They will be able to suggest the best treatment for you and you can find a local maxillo-facial surgeon by phoning your local private hospital in your area and asking for suitable specialists. Many thanks for your enquiry, I do wish you the best of luck if you do decide to have treatment. Q. I had a successful fat injections surgery to reduce some scarring and unevenness in the left side of my face. It gave me so much more self-esteem, but I think that it could still be improved. Is it possible to maybe get cheek implants on the one side of my face to further correct the unevenness?
A. Thank you very much for your enquiry, certainly it’s possible to consider cheek implants on your face and this surgery is normally performed by a specialist maxillo-facial surgeon. This surgeon specialize in bony structure of the face and would be the ideal people to see you to advice the best way forward for you. You’ll be able to find your local maxillo-facial surgeon by talking to your GP or looking online. Many thanks for your enquiry, I wish you the best of luck if you do decide to go ahead with treatment. Q. hi. I am looking to have my jaw reshaped as the bottom of it is very flat and square is there anyway that it can be shaped so there is more of an angle to my jaw? please reply asap thankyou
A. Thank you very much for your enquiry, it is possible to reshape the shape of your jaw and this surgery is normally performed by maxillo-facial surgeon. I think it might be best to have a look on the web for a maxillo-facial surgeon specializes in this area in your region. Alternatively, you could schedule a consultation with your GP and discuss this with them and they will likely to know a surgeon in the region who specializes in the region. Many thanks for your enquiry. Best wishes yours sincerely, Adrian RichardsPlastic and Cosmetic SurgeonSurgical Director of Aurora Clinics

Q. I suffer big time with confidence with my jaw. I had a operation 2 years ago for an over bite i had with my jaw and that was fine, my problem is i feel i have a massive jaw shape and would like to reduce this if possible. I have a big jaw and i wish to make it alot smaller. if possible can i send you pictures via email and maybe you could pass this on to surgent who does jaw re-shaping ? this is a massive issue for me and your help would be deeply appreciated
A. You need to speak to and consult with a craniofacial and/or a maxillofacial surgeon to discuss this in more detail. In London I would recommend Niall Kirkpatrick or Simon Eccles and in the SouthEast I would recommend Ken Sneddon Good luck! Paul Banwell

Q. I also have have an underbite that makes my chin and jawline very prominent. I have seen a maxofacial surgeon and was told that my upper jaw was to small. When i had my teeth puuled and false ones put in they aligned by bite that way. I still have an underbite but and my apperance has not changed leaving me devistated and still very self consience. Sorry bout the spelling! I really want to reduce the sixe of my chin but really will that help….
A. Thank you very much for your enquiry, so this is slightly outside of my expertise but it does sounds as if you would be appropriate to be seeing by maxillo-facial surgeon he could discuss with you the options with you again. 0:04:37.9 I think it would be sensible to arrange this consultation in the near future and I wish you the best of luck with this and if you do decide to go ahead with treatment. Q. I have a prominant chin and underbite. This affecting me mentally and potentially physically in the future. What is an average price for corrective surgery?
A. Thank you very much for your enquiry, it does sounds as if it would be possible to correct your underbite and this often involves surgery to the jaw itself. Aurora-Clinics would not we perform this type of surgery as it is generally performed by maxillo-facial surgeons. I think it would be worthwhile scheduling a consultation with a maxillo-facial specialist in hospital near you and they will be able to discuss the best way forward with different options available. Many thanks for your enquiry, we do look forward to meeting you so I do wish you the best of luck if you do decide to go ahead with treatment. Q. Hello. Im looking to have chin reduction im 30 in good health. Its something ive wanted for while but finally want to go through with it ive been to my dentist told me my jaw posistion is fine just my chin juts straight out there is also lot of fat tissue on my chin which adds to the size can that also be removed,it doesnt really fit with the rest my face like to know who and where the best surgeon to deal with this matter also the cost and procedure which is involved. Thanks
A. Thank you for your enquiry. In general terms, both plastic surgeons and maxillofacial surgeons can be of assistance in this matter. Most frequently, I would include in the consultation a 3-D analysis and simulation to determine the type and degree of change that creates a pleasing appearance for the area in balance with the rest of the face. The type of surgery needed follows from this analysis, and the cost of the surgery depends on the treatment plan.

Q. Hi, I have been having orthodontic treatment for the past 18 months and 3 months ago had a bi maxillary osteotmoy to correct my 10-11mm overbite, i also had a very gummy smile and my chin wasnt central. My surgeon said everything went really well but since my jaw has relapsed and i now have a 3-4mm overbite, my surgeon is refusing to do a 2nd operation as he doesnt consider me `ugly’ and he says the risk are very high with restricting the blood supply to my upper jaw. I am just very confused as to what to do now, the whole point in my starting this treatment was to get rid of my overbite. Are the risk of a second operation very high?? Is there any other way to correct my overbite??
A. This is something you need to discuss with a maxillofacial surgeon or orthodontic surgeon. This forum deals with plastic surgery and not orthognatic surgery. Sorry I cant give you advice

Q. I am very self concious about my side profile as I have absolutely no chin at all and this has affected me for some time. I would like to look into having my chin enlarged so it fits the rest of my face and was hoping you could tell me about the possible options open to me. Any help would be great and anything I could provide to help you is no problem.
A. Thank you very much for your enquiry. It does sound as if you may benefit from a procedure to bring your chin forward slightly. This is either done by moving the chinbone itself or realigning the lower jaw. This form of surgery is normally performed by maxillofacial surgeons, and I would suggest that it may be sensible to ring up a private hospital and schedule a consultation to discuss the best way forward with a maxillofacial surgeon. We do wish you the best of luck if you do decide to proceed with treatment. Best wishes, Yours sincerely, Adrian Richards Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeon Consultant, Aurora Clinics
