Q. I want to have my lips filled out slightly as I feel they look very small compared to my other features. Are there several different types of injections you can have to increase the fullness of your lips or do you just use one technique?

A. Thank you for your inquiry. Although there are a number options for lip augmentation, I only use injectable fillers based on hyaluronic acid. I am not particularly under the impression that one product is better than the others, but I like very much the fact that the products from this group have a very good safety profile, reasonable longevity and reversibility. For long-term lip augmentation I would favor the Permalip silicone implants.

Q. Hi, I would like to know if I can have Macrolane in my bottom? do you recomend it? if u recomend bt u dont do it, could u tell who would do it? tks very much, Rose

A. Thank you for your inquiry. I used Macrolane rarely because of the combination of high price and a relatively short longevity of the treatment. I prefer using fat transfer because frequently it is possible to do liposuction to the waistline together with fat transfer to the bottom, and produce an enhanced contrast.

Q. I am interested in a possible procedure to lighten or permanently remove dark facial hair from my moustache area which is much darker than the rest of my facial hair. This is a really embarrassing problem for me and I would really like to find a permanent solution other than bleaching the area.

Q. Can a lip llift be done at te same time as a rhinoplasty. Is the lip lift scar invisible.How muc doesit cost.

Q. I was born with a large dimple on my chin. I would like to have it either removed or filled. Would it be possible to use filler injections to fix this or would it need to be surgically removed? If it does need to be removed, how long would the recovery time for that kind of surgery be?

Q. There are several areas of my body I would like improved such as the buttocks, thighs and stomach. I would not say im fat but in these areas in particular I find it hard to shift the fat and feel its impossible to improve the contour of my lower body with just exercise. Q. Is there any difference in results between having Restylane or Perlane injections to help smooth facial wrinkles? As this is non surgical would I need to have a consultation with you before having the treatment?

A. Thank you very much for your enquiry. Yes, there is a difference between Restylane and Perlane, the main difference being the Perlane is a thicker substance. It is firmer and made up of larger particles. Perlane is used for deeper lines while Restylane is used for finer lines. Generally, I would recommend that Perlane not be used on the lips and only really used for deeper lines coming down from the side of the nose to the mouth and that was from the mouth. You maybe aware that there are a new generation of dermal fillers called juvederm which I think give a better result than either Restylane or Perlane and that they have softer and more natural.
