Q. hi, Just a quick query is there a cure/ a skin peel to reduce large open pores or let make them go? and if so how much roughly as a price guide
A. Thank you very much for your enquiry, you’re right that skin peels certainly do reduce the size of open pores on your face and this can be performed through 300-400 pounds depending on the type of peel used. I think it would be worthwhile having a look at our website http://aurora-clinics.co.uk for more information on this treatment and what’s involved in the procedure. If you feel you would like to schedule a free consultation to discuss the types of treatments available please do so by ringing us on 01844-214362 or emailing us at info@aurora-clinics.co.uk. Q. I have deep frown lines between my eyebrows and lots of open pores and broken veins on my t-zone. Is there some form of peel / dermabrasion that is not too harsh that would help?
A. Thank you very much for your enquiry, generally the deep lines between your eyebrows are best treated with botox injections as the lines are caused by muscle contraction and by relieving the muscle contraction you can generally get very good improvement in the appearance of the area. If you would like further information about what’s involved in this treatment please visit our website http://aurora-clinics.co.uk or aurora-skinclinics.co.uk. Here you will find lots of information about the pros and cons of the procedures and we’ll be able to assess the best treatment for you. Q. I am an african woman and wanted to know about Obagi peels and products what are the costs and is it suitable for my skin type. If not what would you suggest?
A. Hi there. I don’t perform peels in people of African origin, as there is too great a risk of post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. What we recommend depends on what you’re hoping to achieve, but sometimes we recommend you don’t have anything because the risks are too high – it all depends on what you don’t like about your skin and what you want it to be like.

Q. Is a chemical peel suitable for improving acne pitting if it is not severe
A. Definitely yes. Chemical peels are one of the prime treatments in this case as well as dermaroller. Please phone for a complimentary consultation with my aesthetic nurse to discuss this in more detail on 0845 2600 261 or email help@paulebanwell.com cheerio Paul Banwell

Q. I am looking at having a chemical peel after being exposed to an unknown chemical which had no smell or stickyness. My skin was exposed to the mist of this chemical or lacquer and it has created a binding all over my body after drying which cannot be seen but definitely can be felt. I experience it as a tight band and is very restrictive. no one has been cooperative in assisting me in removing it so I would like to enquire about removing it with the expertise of a surgeon.I am not imagining it and i have to live with it day in day out which causes distress. I state that in removing it I will be given a new lease of life. The chemical which was exosed to my skin created some redness at first but then my skin calmed down and became used to it. I do not know what it was and this happened about four months ago. It does not wash off.
A. Thank you very much for your enquiry, I think it would probably be best if you see a surgeon who specializes in burns surgery and I would advice about the best treatment for you. I would suggest it would probably be best go and see your GP who will be able to recommend someone locally who is suitable for this type of treatment. Best wishes yours sincerely, Adrian Richards Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeon Surgical Director of Aurora Clinics

Q. I have acne scares and feel paranoid about it, can i have a chemical skin peel to remove the appearance and can you have it done while you are pregnant?
A. Pregnancy is one of the relative contra-indications to chemical peeling so I would wait until after baby is born. The other alternative would be dermaroller Once things have seetled down at home please do pop in for a complimentary consultation with my aesthetic nurse Judi Please phone 0845 2600 261 or email help@paulebanwell.com Paul Banwell www.skininstituteuk.com

Q. Hi there! I would like to know if the chemical peel treatment is suitable for someone with acne problems? will it even out the complexion and remove (if not reduce) acne? what sort of benefits does one gain from chemical peel treatment? Also, how much will the cost of this be and how long will it take to heal after the treatment is complete and how long will the effects of this last? Thanks LR
A. I prefer to do Dermaroller therapy to chemica;l peel as rthe results are better with less loss of skin pigmentation. The dermaroller consists of 3 treatments 6 weeks apart with home maintanance therapy. The recovery is 3 to 4 days but a sunscreen needs to be applied. The cost is £1184 for the whole cource.
