Q. Where can I have prominent veins in my hands removed in the UK?
A. Thank you very much for your enquiry, you are right that prominent veins in hands are not commonly treated in the United Kingdom but I am aware of Dr. Alex Chambers who works in London who does specialize in this treatment. I think it might be worth googling Alex Chambers and you’ll find lots of information about her and could schedule an appointment in her London Clinic if you felt this was appropriate. I wish you the best of luck if you do decide to go ahead with treatment. Best wishes yours sincerely, Adrian Richards Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeon Surgical Director of Aurora Clinics

Q. I have a varocus vein on my inner right thigh which slithers round to the back of my calf, it’s very lumpy and plain to see. My confidence is fine until I have to wear shorts on holidays, so I often find myself wearing jeans in the baking hot sun, and I’m 34 and single and this plays on my mind, please advise.
A. Thank you very much for your enquiry, it’s certainly would be possible to remove the varicose vein on your right inner thigh but this is normally performed by a vascular surgeon who specialize in veins and arteries. It would probably be best to schedule a consultation with a vascular surgeon locally and it maybe sensible to schedule a consultation with your GP who will know the best surgeons for this type of treatment in your region. I do wish you the best of luck if you do decide to go ahead with treatment. Best wishes yours sincerely, Adrian Richards Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeon Surgical Director of Aurora Clinics

Q. Hi. I am 25 and have recently noticed some prominent and slighly bulging veins on my arms. I have been diagnozed with superficial varicose veins on my righ leg and am seeking scelorotherpy in the near future. However I never really had veins in my arms-is it by any chance a consequence of the veins in my leg? Also, are there any natural ways to control them from bulging and swelling on my arms?
A. Thank you very much for your enquiry, you are right that the veins in your arm may well be similar to the varicose veins in your leg. Generally, the best treatment for larger veins is not sclerotherapy but is other treatments aimed at reducing them. I think it would be sensible to see a vascular surgeon so that they can analyze your veins in your leg and ideally also the ones in your arms. Your GP would certainly know a vascular surgeon in the area who could treat these areas and I think it might be sensible to schedule an appointment with your GP to discuss this. If the veins are very fine it’s possible to have them treated to a sclerotherapy but you’ll need to exclude a deeper course for the veins with your vascular surgeon. I wish you the best of luck if you do decide to go ahead with that treatment. Best wishes yours sincerely, Adrian Richards Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeon Surgical Director of Aurora Clinics

A. Do you mean on your cheeks or actually just under your eyes. You might be suitable for Veinwave, sclerotherapy or alternatively tear-trough fillers might be more appropriate I would need to see you to make this decision Cheerio Paul Banwell www.skininstituteuk.com

Q. The last two months have noticed two veins run down my entire arms have become very noticeable. I have had a problem with this before on my legs but this area is generally covered with clothing. My question is is there anything natural that can be done to reduce the prominence of the veins on my arms?
A. Thank you very much for your enquiry about possible treatment to the veins on your arms. These veins in this area can become more prominent if you have lost weight as the padding around them is less thin and making them stand out more. There are treatments to improve the appearance of the veins in the arm but this involves removing them by very small incisions rather like treating varicose veins on the legs. The downside of this treatment is over the scars that can result and you did think very carefully about whether you would be happy with this. If you would like to schedule a consultation to discuss the pros and cons of this treatment please visit our website http://aurora-clinics.co.uk and email us on info@aurora-clinics.co.uk or phone us to schedule a consultation on 01844-214362. Many thanks for your enquiry, we do look forward to meeting you in the near future if you do decide to schedule a consultation. Q. Is there anyway to treat some blue veins on my breasts they look awful?
A. Thank you very much for your enquiry. Unfortunately, there is no easy way of treating the blue veins on your breasts. The only way of effectively doing this is with small incisions to the veins. Unfortunately, this may leave small scars in the area, which you may not like. If you would like to schedule a free consultation to discuss the best way forward for you, please do so by ringing us on 01844-214362. Many thanks for your enquiry.
