Could you please let me know what the waiting time is for the male breast removal cosmetic surgery?

Q. Could you please let me know what the waiting time is for the male breast removal cosmetic surgery and a rough costing. Also could you let me know how long I would need to take off work, given that I wouldn’t need a massive amount of fat or tissue to be removed and am otherwise in good health.

A. Thank you for your inquiry.   With gynaecomastia correction, the fact of the removing a larger volume of fatty tissue does not have significant bearing on the speed of recovery. In principle, what matters more is whether the skin has become relatively loose and may require tightening or not.   As a primary approach for correction of gynaecomastia, I tend to favour using the radiofrequency-assisted liposuction (Bodytite), which also helps with skin retraction.   For office-type activities, it is usually necessary to take approximately 3-5 days off work, but for more physical activities, one to 2 weeks may be necessary.   The costs related to the treatment are just under £4000.
