Do you know if there is a procedure for a toenail implant?
Q. I had my two big toenails removed when i was younger and now its affecting my confidence in wearing open toe shoes. Do you know if there is a procedure for a toenail implant?
A. Thank you for your enquiry. Yes, there is a procedure for reconstructing toe nails and this is generally performed by either a foot surgeon or plastic surgeon. I generally advise you to go on to a GP and ask for details of a local plastic surgeon and schedule an appointment with them. They will be able to discuss to you options with you. If you are successful in achieving a toe nail transplant, please post it on the site. My sister desprately wants two big toe nail transplants and have seen many private surgeons but nobody will do the procedure.

I desperately want to have toenails replaced on my big toe on both feet.Want to know if there is anyone out there that can do this procedure and how much is the cost.I want to be able to live my life again and wear whatever I want PLEASE help me with my situation.

Have really awful toenails as they just crumble away when I cut them and they do not grow like normal toenails this is since I took up running, would love to have new nails as I cannot wear open toe shoes so suffer in the hot weather.

Same thing happen to me….i had an in grown toenail went to the doctor office and they cut the whole toe nail off instead of cutting the infected side off cause my toe nail not to grow normal..i have to buy tips the one for your toes in order to wear open toe shoes..are you can go to the nail shop and they can put one on that will last long the same thing when you have the tip on your fingernails..

Exact same situation I’v got on both my big toes. What is the name of this toenail reconstructing procedure mentioned in the ‘Answer’ above? so I can research it myself first.
