How long after having had breast reduction surgery can I go back to wearing bras

Q. How long after having had breast reduction surgery can I go back to wearing bras and other things like tight tops etc and will there be any noticeable scarring left over by the surgery even after full recovery from the operation has passed that will have to be covered? Where your hospital and what is costs and finance details?

A. Hi there. After a breast reduction you need to wear a post surgical bra for 6 weeks, we don’t see the final results for around 6 months and the scars continue to mature over a period of 6-12 months. There will always be scarring left around the nipple, running downwards and outwards. The scars don’t have to be covered, and they will be noticeable. I operate in Glasgow at the Glasgow Nuffield Hospital and my clinic is in the city centre of Glasgow at La Belle Forme. My prices and more information about breast reduction are on line at www.labelleforme.co.uk. We do offer finance through the hospital
