Q. Hello how much would it cost for a rhinoplasty operation and how soon can you do it? I suffered an injury when i was a child and this left me with a slightly bent nose with a bump on it? How long will i be bruised for afterwards? What is the worst that can go wrong?

A. Thank you for your enquiry.  In terms of the risks related to rhinoplasty, it is possible that the deviation (bent appearance of the nose) is not fully repaired, and it is also possible for the nasal airway to become more restricted.  Bleeding and infection are relatively low risks with rhinoplasty.  The anaesthetic itself carries some risks which are fortunately very low in a healthy young individual. Bruising after rhinoplasty usually takes a week to 10 days to settle down, and I usually recommend taking two weeks off work.
