How old do you have to be to have this breast enlargement surgery?
Q. How old do you have to be to have this breast enlargement surgery? I dont like my breasts at all they are really small and make me very self conscious and unhappy. I want to get them enlarged with surgery but im only seventeen next month. I have spoken to my parents about having an enlargement and they agreed they would support me provided I paid for the op and they were present at any consultation. Can I still have surgery with their support even though I may not be old enough?
A. If you have severe congenital breast aplasia ie no breast development, 17 years of age is ok to do the procedure as it is unlikely that your breasts will grow. Are your periods normal? It is very important that your parents are involved in the consultation process as well as your GP.
