I am 23 and I have always hated my arms. They are very disproportionate, and flabby on the upper part

Q. I am 23 and I have always hated my arms. They are very disproportionate, and flabby on the upper part. I was thinking of getting an arm lift, liposuction or both. Which is more suitable for me? Or is there another procedure that could take care of this. I would like to be left with as little scarring as possible.

A. Thank you for your email. The ‘flabby’ arm could be because of excess deposition of fat and/or lose skin. The quality of skin at the age of 23 years is likely to be good in terms of elasticity unless you have significant weight loss. Laserlipolysis assisted with liposuction/aspiration is a recognised method in such cases. Arm reduction/ Brachioplasty is generally considered in matured age group in presence of lose skin with compromised elasticity. I would be happy to give my opinion following a detailed consultation. In the mean time you ma wish to send me good quality photos for my initial comments. Please clarify about recent weight loss if any along with the photos. May I suggest you to go through the section of arm lift on our web site to allow you to develop better insight? Please do no hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. With best wishes,
