Q. I am looking to get my breasts enlarged this time next year and was wanting to know prices for this. I was also wondering how long the waiting list was if there was one all? How many consultations do you need to have before the actual operation? After paying for the actual operation and the consultations before hand are there any after costs and if so what are they for and how much are they? I would appreciate it if you could get back to me.
A. Hi there. If you want to have surgery this time next year, then please come and see me in around 9 months’ time. My waiting list at the moment is around 2 months between a consultation and surgery. The cost next year will probably be around £3500 and you will need at least one consultation, though you can have as many as you want to make sure you’re 100% happy with all the information you get before going ahead. There are no after costs, but sometimes people have paid for another operation several years later if there are long term problems such as capsular contracture, for which you’re covered for 5 years if the implants distort the shape of the breast.
