I am thinking about labia surgery to reduce prominence of my labia

Q. I am thinking about labia surgery to reduce prominence of my labia which has always been something that has bothered me but only recently have i found out about how common this surgery is, I have therefore decided it is time that i got this surgery done. However i wanted to know about recovery time as i a swim instructor and wanted to know how long after labia surgery should it be that i dont go swimming. As i would only be able to get 2 weeks off work this would be major factor in my decision to undergo this surgery.

A. ·         This cost between £2500 – £3000 depending on location and the package you find most suitable for you. The recovery varies widely from one person to the other. I have had patients who drove home on the same day, but this is after local anaesthesia procedure, It good to take about five days off, or two days either side of a weekend. Your stitches can take up to 2-6 weeks to dissolve, but you will be able to go about your normal routines. Two weeks is plenty of time to get you back to work, it may be best to use faster dissolving stitches.
