I had a breast enlargement surgery two days ago
Q. hello, I had a breast enlargement surgery two days ago. Everything was ok, except one problem. After the surgery I had elastic band around my breast over the night in the hospital, it was ok. When I was discharged in the morning, the nurse put my supporting bra on me. She put it over the elastic band. However I found out today from the assistant of my surgeon that the elastic band should be on the top of the bra, not like I wore it for 24 hours. I was in terrible pain because the elastic band. The elastic band’s velcro was fastened on the side of my breast. It caused pain and brusing under arms and on the side of the breast. Also one side of the breast is flat because of the pressure of elastic band. One of my hands was kind of paralysed because of this pain. I had before problem with the breast, I had unexplained pains on the sides of the breast, I did MRI scan but the results were ok. I mentioned to my surgeon today about what happened and that I had this pain because of the mistake of the nurse. He said that it should be ok. I feel much better now, however I’m terribly worried that lymph gland were pressed and that I had unnecessary pressure on the breast for so long. And that something can be wrong with the breast in the future. What do you think about such a situation? Shall I worry about the negligence of the nurse or just ignore it.
