I had a rhinoplasty last October and I am not happy with the results

Q. I had a rhinoplasty last October and I am not happy with the results, which I have mentioned to my surgeon, but he keeps trying to reasure me that it is fine, which it is not. I would very much like soem asdvice on what to do.

A. You could have a second opinion with a different surgeon if you would like. However, I would say that most surgeons ask you to wait about a year before they see the final results. If at this stage you remain disappointed you can see a second surgeon to ask about whether anything can or should be done to try and improve things. Sometimes we are limited in what we can do with some of the properties of your tissues and other times we can make a difference. You can certainly see a surgeon for a second opinion before the year is up, but most of them will tell you to wait and although it won’t be a wasted consultation because you will have gauged the opinion of the surgeon(s) you see, you will probably find they won’t do anything just yet. Hope this helps
