Q. I had a tummy tuck around three years ago and had some problems keloid scarring after the procedure. At the time I had a course of steroid injections that flattened the scar considerably. The problem is the scar is still discoloured and have been told I may need scar revision surgery. Is it likely will improve with time or should I look at having revision surgery now? Many thanks
A. it’s difficult to know exactly what’s going to happen to the scar, but the important thing is that you have a surgeon you can trust and speak to on a regular basis about your scar. You’d need to be seen regularly before anyone can tell whether it’s stopped improving
