I had breast Augmentation April 2007 for saggy breasts

Q. I had breast Augmentation April 2007 for saggy breasts I originally thought of having an uplift as I felt it may help improve the appearance of stretch marks, however after consultation was put off due to the idea of tissue necrosis. I am 48yrs and regret this as I now have to go through another operation. I am considering removal of implants and uplift. Do you offer fat implants or do you feel this is not usually reqired if an uplift is performed. Do you operate in Glasgow. Have you had any problems with tissue necrosis, and could you please give me a quote for implant removal and uplift.

A. Hi there. I’ll answer the easy questions first :) I do operate in Glasgow – I operate at the Glasgow Nuffield Hospital, and I have my clinic for consultations either at the same hospital or at my own clinic in the city centre, La Belle Forme. I can certainly remove the implants for you and give you an uplift, but it sounds like there are a few options we should discuss before you decide what it is you want. You probably should let me know what your aims are from further surgery and I can let you know what I would recommend to help you achieve those aims, if indeed they are possible. For stretch marks we often have other treatment options as well. For people who have not had an uplift or reduction before, tissue necrosis is very rare. I don’t do fat grafts into breasts as they cause microcalcification and lumps which are almost indistinguishable from breast cancer. As I say, there’s a lot to talk about and perhaps it would be best to call 0141-552 0828 and book an appointment to see me and we can take it from there.
