I have very large indented scar on side of nose caused by laser surgery
Q. I have very large indented scar on side of nose caused by laser surgery. Large circle around 5mm by 5mm & very deep. I know it is probably too early to book appt as hasn t been year yet but looking for some advice.
A. Thank you for your inquiry. Depending on the scar texture and colour it may be that the treatment required is only a matter of creating a smooth contour. This could be achieved sometimes by subscision, sometimes by injectable fillers. If the texture and colour of the scar are very different from the surrounding skin, options of correcting the appearance by revising the scar, or possibly even a tiny skin graft, could be entertained.
