I suffer from problems with controlling my urine

Q. Dear Sir I suffer from problems with controlling my urine and sometimes little bits dribble out. Everything feels very different since i had a baby 6 months ago and had to have stitches after giving birth. What can be done to correct this problem?

A. Since you have recently had a baby, you should expect most of this symptoms to be reasonably controlled by pelvic floor exercises. You may need the help of a physiotherapy and sometimes continence stimulator which you can get from the web – Flexilog is a good one. If this doesnt help after six months you may need an additional medication or surgery – which hopefully should not be another necessary. If there is no improvement of vaginal sensation after the same period, you may arrange see me for discussion about vaginal tightening and stress incontinence treatment. /you may want to se your GP first.
