Q. I would like some information regarding breast implants. What are the most recommended implants you use and how long is the operation and recovery time. Is there a currently a waiting list and how much is the surgery. Many thanks. Tracey
A. Thank you for your inquiry. In most instances, in terms of the implant filler I use cohesive gel silicone implants rather than saline implants. Increasingly, I have been using also the micro-polyurethane coated silicone implants for reduced capsular contracture rate (http://www.pureimplants.co.uk/). In terms of the around or anatomical shape, the guidance can only be provided at the time of a consultation. The recovery period is usually a week for return to work office activities, 3 weeks for return to light exercise and approximately 3-4 months for the area to settle.
