Im am trying to find out the best way to reduce the appearance of ice pick acne scars in the least risky way possible

Q. Im am trying to find out the best way to reduce the appearance of ice pick acne scars in the least risky way possible. My skin in is fair condition but would like to try and eliminate the few scars I have if this is possible without surgery. Your advice on this would be great if possble.

A. Thank you for your enquiry. Ice pick scars can be loosened under local anaesthesia by a small needle puncture and releasing the scar under the skin. The cavity then needs to be filled to plump up the scar . I use Juvederm as it lasts about a year allowing the body to reshape the scars. It can be combined with Dermaroller treatment to smooth and regenerate the surrounding skin and blend the ice pick deformity in.The cost for Juvederm and scar release is about £500. Dermaroller is £300 per session and a one of cost of £180 for the home care maintance treatment pack.To arrange a consultation, phone Christine on 01977664258RegardsLeRoux Fourie
