Q. Im wondering if you could help me, i am interested in having an arm lift. I would like a guide price as to how much this would cost. I was nearly 18 stone and i am now down to 12 1/2 stone. I am interested in a tummy tuck aswell but i want another baby so im going to wait until after that before i look further into that. I am currently a size 14/16 and am quite happy at this weight, although i’d like to lose another stone by my wedding. I am getting married in 2011 and I would like my arms done and the scar healed by this time. I have thought about having liposuction instead of the surgery but my arms are full of stretch marks and i’d rather have one scar than the million i have at the moment. I have a medical condition, hydrocephalus. I do not have a shunt in place and i dont have any problems with this. Would this or my current weight be a problem in having the arm lift surgery? A. Thank you for your inquiry. I would need to discuss the safety of an anaesthetic with your treating physician or GP, but otherwise your current weight should not be an issue. The other point I would raise is that it may not be possible to remove all the stretch marks, depending on their extent and position.
